  Kawhi Leonard was born on the 29th of June 1991 in Los Angeles. His father, Mark Leonard, owned a car wash in Compton where he worked until his death.   The Indiana Pacers selected Leonard with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. He was traded that night to the San Antonio Spurs along with rights to Erazem Lorbek and Dāvis Bertāns.
