Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics includes seven titles: The Punisher (1993), X-Men: Children of the Atom (1994), Marvel Super Heroes (1995), X-Men vs. Street Fighter (1996), Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (1997), Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (1998), and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (2000).
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launched digitally on the 12th of September 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows. A physical console version followed on the 22nd of November 2024. An Xbox One version was released on the 4th of February 2025.

These include Magneto, Juggernaut, and Street Fighter guest Akuma in X-Men: Children of the Atom, and Doctor Doom, Thanos, and Darkstalkers guest Anita in Marvel Super Heroes. Norimaro also appears in international versions of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter for the first time.
By September 2025, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics had sold one million copies worldwide. It ranked third among the highest-selling PlayStation 4 titles in North America in the September 2024 download charts and debuted as the ninth best-selling Nintendo Switch game in Japan during the week of the 18th to the 24th of November 2024. The collection received generally favorable reviews, with 95 percent of critics recommending it according to OpenCritic.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was not available on Xbox at its initial launch in September 2024, which drew backlash from the Xbox player community. Capcom announced on the 3rd of September 2024 that an Xbox One version was in development. That version released on the 4th of February 2025.
