Connolly contributed to early drafts of Pacific Rim: Uprising alongside Guillermo del Toro, Jon Spaihts, and Zak Penn, but he received no on-screen writing credit. The final screenplay was credited to Steven S. DeKnight, Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder, and T. S. Nowlin.
