Capcom developed Capcom Fighting Evolution with producer Yoshinori Ono stepping in to repurpose assets from the stalled project Capcom Fighting All-Stars. The game features characters from various franchises including Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Red Earth.
Ingrid is the sole original character in Capcom Fighting Evolution and serves as the Goddess of the Sun. She was originally intended to debut in the cancelled 3D fighting game Capcom Fighting All-Stars and possesses a unique three-level Super Arts gauge.
