Capcom Fighting Collection 2 includes eight arcade fighting games: Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein (1998), Power Stone (1999), Power Stone 2 (2000), Project Justice (2000), Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (2001), and Capcom Fighting Evolution (2004).
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was released on the 16th of May 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. Physical editions were made available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The Ver. 2K25 sound style is an optional audio overhaul available for Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Power Stone 2, and Project Justice. It provides a rearranged soundtrack and re-recorded sound effects, and for Capcom vs. SNK 2 specifically, it replaces DJ Hiroaki Asai as system voice with Bill Butts, who serves as the collection's unified system voice.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper had never been officially available outside Japan before Capcom Fighting Collection 2. A post-launch update in August 2025 added Ingrid, Maki, Yun, and Eagle as playable fighters, giving the arcade version parity with Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, the final PSP revision of the game.
Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 are the first re-releases of these titles since their original release in the early 2000s. Both were developed by Capcom as part of a crossover series with SNK, distinguishing them from SNK's own entry in the series, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, released in 2003.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was nominated for Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards 2025 and for Fighting Game of the Year at the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. It did not win either award.
