Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

The first fireworks of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular erupted over Disney's Hollywood Studios on the 17th of June 2016. This World Premiere replaced a previous show called Symphony in the Stars that had run until June 2015. The new display marked a shift from archival sound clips to a fully integrated multimedia experience. A second version of the show opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris on the 14th of January 2017. That Parisian iteration ran seasonally during an event known as the Season of the Force. It projected images onto the facade of the Tower of Terror instead of a movie theater. The original Florida show utilized the Chinese Theater building for its primary visual canvas.
Technical Production Methods
Industrial Light and Magic created custom computer-generated imagery sequences specifically for this live performance. Projection mapping technology cast scenes, characters, and locations from all nine films onto the Chinese Theater facade. Two blank projection facades flanking either side of the theater served as additional areas for these visuals. Main aerial pyrotechnic shells launched off-center from behind the Chinese Theater appeared to the right of the structure. Low-level pyrotechnics fired from rooftops including the former Great Movie Ride and Hyperion Theatre buildings. Two flamethrowers situated on both sides of the theater's central cupola released jets of isopar fire effects. Fog machines hidden between the theater's spires generated clouds of smoke and theatrical fog throughout the run.
