On the 16th of June 2023, the Recording Academy declared that only human creators are eligible for Grammy consideration. A work containing no human authorship is not eligible in any category. This rule specifically addressed the controversy surrounding AI-generated material. The song Heart on My Sleeve by ghostwriter977 used AI voice cloning to mimic Drake and The Weeknd.
