Only the original twelve World Warriors appear in the story including Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Vega, and Sagat. Cho bursts into the room with panic revealing M. Bison's organization Shadaloo uses Doll to brainwash people into violence.
Ryu returns to find Gouken left for dead by Bison after Bison sends Vega and Sagat to attack Cho. His master delivers final words before passing away years later when Guile and Chun-Li arrive on Shad to investigate the tournament.
Udon Entertainment later issued a revised adaptation as a three-volume set that restored original black-and-white artwork and right-to-left orientation. The earlier English version featured colorized pages and re-arranged panels while Tokuma Comics released eight monthly issues in 1994 for American readers.
The complete edition appeared in 2004 bundled with Street Fighter II: Return To The Fujiwara Capital. Tokuma Shoten published three tankōbon editions in Japan following serialization.
