Short answers, pulled from the story.
Will Smith plays Agent J in the Men in Black film series. Keith Diamond voices the character in the animated series.
Agent J's real name is James Darrell Edwards III. He was born on the 19th of October, 1965, on the island of Manhattan, New York City.
Agent J's father, United States Army Colonel James Darrell Edwards Jr., was murdered by the alien Boris the Animal at Kennedy Space Center during the Apollo 11 launch. He had been helping Agent K prevent a chain of events that would have ended with K's death and a large-scale alien invasion of Earth.
Agent J neuralizes his partners when he judges them unfit for the work. In the most notable case, he neuralizes Agent T after pushing T to admit he joined the Men in Black to be a hero, which J considered incompatible with the agency's total secrecy. His superior Zed confronted him about the pattern.
In Men in Black 3, Agent J must contend with the Boglodites, the alien species to which the criminal Boris the Animal belongs. Boris travels back to 1969 and murders a young Agent K, eliminating the agent who would have established a permanent force field protecting Earth from Boglodite invasion.
Agent J does not appear in person in Men in Black: International. He is visible only as a painting in the office of a character named High-T. In a separate Japanese anime series called Waiting in the Summer, a character named Ichika Takatsuki references J by name, with fear of being captured by him.
