Todd Douglas Miller grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He pursued his education during the 1990s at the Motion Picture Institute in Detroit, Michigan before attending Eastern Michigan University to study filmmaking.
Miller directed Gahanna Bill in 2001 under the name Todd Miller. His next feature Scaring the Fish arrived in 2008 and also carried his own name as director.
