Regia Anglorum is a medieval reenactment organisation that portrays Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman, and British living history from the age of Alfred the Great to Richard the Lionheart. Wychurst is a full-scale replica of a defended manorial burgh built by Regia Anglorum on three acres of freehold land in Kent, near Canterbury and about sixty miles from Central London. It features a flooded ring ditch, two hundred and twenty metres of palisade enclosing one acre, and a Longhall measuring sixty feet by thirty feet by thirty feet, which Regia describes as the largest building of its kind in Britain. The site is used for educational visits and member immersion events.
