Corey Woods was born on the 12th of January 1970 in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. He later lived in Park Hill, Staten Island, before being kicked out of his home during his teenage years.
Raekwon released his debut solo album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... on the 1st of August 1995 through Loud Records. The album was produced by RZA and features Ghostface Killah on over half of the tracks.
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II was released on the 8th of September 2009 under Raekwon's label Ice H20 with distribution from EMI. The album features collaborations with Slick Rick, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, and Beanie Sigel.
Raekwon released the studio album The Wild on the 24th of March 2017. This project marked his first album without collaborations with fellow members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Elliot Wilson of Tidal and Rap Radar announced on the 1st of August 2020 that Raekwon would be releasing Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 3 soon. Raekwon has also released a recent album titled The Emperor's New Clothes featuring Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher.
