Oldřich Nejedlý began his life in the small village of Zebrak on the 26th of December 1909.
He scored 162 league goals across 187 games for the club. He also added another 18 goals during a brief stint at SK Rakovník between 1943 and 1946.
Sparta Prague secured four Czechoslovak First League championships during Nejedlý's tenure with the team. These titles arrived in 1932, 1936, 1938 and 1939 respectively.
Nejedlý received the Bronze Ball award as the third most outstanding player of the tournament. He finished as the outright top scorer with five goals in nine appearances before FIFA officially recognized this achievement in November 2006.
