The first Life Is Strange game was released in five episodes throughout 2015, with the final episode arriving on the 20th of October. The retail edition of the complete season for Xbox One, PS4 and PC was released on the 19th of January 2016 in North America.
Dontnod Entertainment developed the original Life Is Strange and its direct sequel Life Is Strange 2. Deck Nine developed the prequel Before the Storm, True Colors, and the upcoming titles Double Exposure and Reunion.
Maxine Caulfield and Chloe Price are the protagonists of the first two games. Sean Diaz and Daniel Diaz lead the story in Life Is Strange 2, while Alex Chen is the main character in True Colors.
The Deluxe Edition of Before the Storm included the DLC bonus episode Farewell, which was released on the 6th of March 2018. The main game was developed by Deck Nine after completing work on the original title.

Life Is Strange: Reunion was revealed on January 20 and later released on the 26th of March 2026. The fifth installment, Double Exposure, was released on October 29 for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
