Lamar Hunt Jr. entered the world on the 20th of October 1956 in Dallas, Texas. He spent the first eleven years of his life growing up in Dallas before his parents divorced during the summer of 1963.
Hunt graduated from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 1979 and earned a master's degree in music from Duquesne University. He later received a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University in May 2003.
