Jujutsu Kaisen follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who becomes the host of the powerful ancient sorcerer Ryomen Sukuna after swallowing a cursed finger. He joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers and trains to consume all twenty of Sukuna's fingers so that Sukuna can be destroyed through Yuji's death.
Jujutsu Kaisen was the best-selling manga series in both 2021 and 2022. In January 2021, its first fifteen volumes occupied fifteen of the top sixteen spots on Oricon's weekly ranking. It also appeared on The New York Times Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list starting in February 2021.
