Joe Romersa is an American musician, composer, voice actor, and music producer. He is known for his work as a drummer and engineer on albums by John Prine and Carlene Carter, as a music supervisor and lyricist on the Silent Hill video game series, and as a voice actor in numerous anime productions including Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and Street Fighter II.
Joe Romersa served as music supervisor on Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, and Silent Hill: Homecoming. He also wrote lyrics and contributed vocals to the songs "Hometown" and "Cradle of Forest". He additionally wrote lyrics for Silent Hill Zero (Silent Hill Origins) and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
Joe Romersa voiced Abdul Hakim in Cowboy Bebop, Balrog in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie and Street Fighter II V, Zangief in Street Fighter Alpha, and Gaia in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie Trilogy, among many other roles. He also played characters in Ghost in the Shell, Trigun, Code Geass, and Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro.
Romersa engineered John Prine's 1991 album The Missing Years and Carlene Carter's 1993 album Little Love Letters, on both of which he also played drums. Little Love Letters reached number 35 on the Top Country Albums chart and produced the number 3 hit "Every Little Thing".
Tarsem Singh, then an art student, directed Soy Cowboy's only music video for the song "Lily Pads and Rock Cod" in 1990. Singh went on to become an internationally recognized film director. The band's debut album, First Time Again, was produced in 1991 but not released publicly until 2009.
Joe Romersa released his debut solo album, Enough, in 2017. The album was written and composed by Romersa and featured contributions from musicians including Laurence Juber, Prescott Niles, and Jeff Jourard. It was released through Shadow Box Studio.
