Dimension 20 is an actual play tabletop role-playing show on Dropout in which real players perform campaigns on camera. It is an anthology series, with the setting and cast changing between seasons. Most campaigns use Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition.
Dimension 20 was created by Brennan Lee Mulligan, who serves as the show's regular Dungeon Master. Mulligan has been playing Dungeons and Dragons since age 10 and worked as a live-action role-playing game writer before the show launched. Guest Game Masters, most notably Aabria Iyengar, lead Side Quest campaigns.
Dimension 20 premiered in 2018 on Dropout with its first season, Fantasy High. The launch coincided with what Mulligan described as a renaissance of actual play programming.
Dimension 20 airs on Dropout, a streaming service launched by CollegeHumor in 2018. The parent company later rebranded entirely as Dropout and built much of its programming around the show.
As of 2025, nine Intrepid Heroes seasons of Dimension 20 have aired, including three Fantasy High campaigns, two Unsleeping City campaigns, A Crown of Candy, A Starstruck Odyssey, Neverafter, and Cloudward, Ho! Main campaigns run between seventeen and twenty episodes each and are interspersed with shorter Side Quest campaigns featuring rotating guest casts.
Gauntlet at the Garden was a live Dimension 20 performance at Madison Square Garden on the 24th of January 2025, continuing the story of The Unsleeping City campaign. The event was expected to be the largest actual play show in the United States. A Ticketmaster surge pricing algorithm briefly sent ticket prices into the thousands of dollars, prompting Dimension 20 to opt out of dynamic pricing for all future events.
