Clark Knobel Hunt was born on the 19th of February 1965 into a family that controlled vast oil reserves. His grandfather H.L. Hunt built an empire from crude oil that spanned decades and continents.
Hunt attended St. Mark's School of Texas before enrolling at Southern Methodist University. He graduated in 1987 with a degree in business administration focusing on finance.
Following Lamar Hunt's death in 2006 Clark inherited legal ownership of the Chiefs along with his siblings. He assumed the role of chairman in 2005 before officially taking full control after his father passed.
