Rosen dominated three seasons from 1959 to 1962 while setting school records for both scoring and rebounding. He earned most valuable player honors every single season of his college career.
His coaching resume expanded to include the Rockford Lightning, Oklahoma City Cavalry, and Savannah Spirits as head coaches. He also served as an assistant to Phil Jackson with the Albany Patroons from 1983 to 1986 before taking over as their head coach.
Rosen wrote more than two dozen books including The First Tip Off and The House of Moses All-Stars. Barney Polan's Game appeared on the New York Times Book Review Editor's 1998 Recommended Summer Reading List.
