Cavan Scott is a British comic writer and author born on the 18th of April 1973. He is a New York Times bestselling author best known for his work on Star Wars: The High Republic, Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes novels for Titan Books, and creator-owned comics including Shadow Service.
Cavan Scott wrote the Marvel Comics series Star Wars: The High Republic, the New York Times bestselling novel The Rising Storm, and Path of Vengeance. He also wrote the IDW four-issue mini-series The Monster of Temple Peak, the audio drama Tempest Runner, and short stories in Star Wars Insider and the Life Day Treasury.
Shadow Service, a supernatural spy series with art by Corin M. Howell, was Cavan Scott's first creator-owned comic series. It was announced by Vault Comics in April 2020 and released in July 2020.
Cavan Scott conceived and launched Countryfile Magazine in 2007. He has written for more than 30 national magazines and newspapers and regularly appeared on radio to comment on rural affairs, also serving as a judge for awards including the RSPB Farming for Nature Award.
Sherlock Holmes: The Patchwork Devil, published by Titan Books in 2016, was the first in Cavan Scott's series of Sherlock Holmes novels.
Cavan Scott wrote the Skylanders novel series under the pen name Onk Beakman. His first Skylanders novel under that name was The Machine of Doom, published in 2012.
