  Brian T. Delaney is an American actor whose credits include voicing Scarecrow on Batman Unlimited and the male Sole Survivor in Fallout 4. Those two credits sit atop a far longer resume spanning animated films, television series, and video games. Which characters has he brought to life beyond those two roles?   In 2011, Delaney provided additional voices for Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil, an uncredited part. That year he also played Young Tom Popper Sr. in Mr. Popper's Penguins. That same year he added uncredited additional voices to Total Recall and Star Trek Into Darkness.

  By 2013 he appeared in Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return. In 2015 he took on two roles at once, in Minions and Hotel Transylvania 2. In 2016 he joined The Secret Life of Pets and played soldiers in Resident Evil: Vendetta. That year he also added a commercial announcer, a military officer, and other additional voices to Despicable Me 3.

  Hotel Transylvania 3, The Grinch, and Uglydolls all followed in 2018, each crediting him for additional voices. The pace continued into 2019 with a second Secret Life of Pets film and an uncredited pig role in The Angry Birds Movie 2. That same year he added more voices to Sing 2. In 2021 he voiced Burly Guy number one in Rumble, and the next year brought additional voices in the Netflix film Marmaduke. His most defined animated part arrived in 2022, when he voiced Jim Nickelbones in The Sea Beast.

  It marked one of the few times a film's credits gave him a proper character name instead of a job title.

  Ten episodes of the sketch comedy series Mad gave Delaney a string of various, unnamed characters, with no single role attached to his name. In 2013 he took a one-line part credited as Actor #2 in Good Luck Charlie, in the episode The Bug Prom. David Beckham was his character's name in a single episode of Hot in Cleveland, titled The Animated Episode.

  The direct-to-video film Justice League Dark, released in 2017, gave Delaney two parts, a husband and a character called the Shroud Leader. He also voiced Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, in the animated film Injustice.

  Three episodes of The Odd Couple, spanning 2015 and 2016, cast him as an uncredited Caller. In 2016 he voiced Randill in a single episode of Bunnicula, titled Collar Me Crazy. Bizaardvark cast him as the Keyboard Camp Guy in 2017, in an episode called Paige's Birthday Is Gonna Be Great! That same year, Stuck in the Middle used his voice for Harley's Imagination, in the episode Stuck in a Gold Medal Performance.

  Voltron: Legendary Defender credited him as an Escort Sentry across two episodes in 2018. Archer cast him as Kyle in the 2020 episode The Double Date. The following year, Love, Death & Robots gave him the role of Pilot in the episode Life Hutch. That same year, Tom and Jerry in New York credited him as Chapman and a Zoo Guard. What If...? also used his voice for Peter Quill across two episodes. In 2022 he voiced K.E.V.I.N., uncredited, in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode Whose Show Is This?

  Across sitcoms and superhero shows alike, most of these characters existed for a single scene or a single episode. His video game work would give him something rarer, characters who returned across several separate releases.

• 4. Video Game Voice Work

  Roland was Delaney's character in Halo 4, credited for motion capture work in addition to his voice. He returned to the role in Halo 5: Guardians. A second recurring role came in Destiny 2, where he voiced Saint-14 starting with the Shadowkeep expansion in 2019. He kept that role through Beyond Light in 2020 and The Witch Queen in 2022. In The Witch Queen he added two further parts, Clovis Bray AI and Praksis.

  Master Mantis was among his first video game credits, voiced for Kung Fu Panda. He returned to the role in Kung Fu Panda: Legendary Warriors, where he also played Baboon Minion number two. That early run included American Mercenaries in 007: Quantum of Solace and Icaronix in Aion: The Tower of Eternity. He also voiced a Highway Patrol Officer in Need for Speed: The Run. Call of Duty: Black Ops II cast him as Australian Mercs, while Dishonored gave him an aristocrat and a character named Wallace.

  Wreck-It Ralph put his voice inside the title character, credited under a group heading for featured voice talents. He repeated the role in the Disney Infinity games, including the 3.0 edition. Titanfall used him for militia soldiers, and Infamous Second Son cast him as Emilio Brunberg, Bennett, and a correspondent. In WildStar he voiced Emperor Myrcalus, a Mordesh Male character, and a being called The Entity. Batman: Arkham Knight credited him as Militia number six and Fireman number three.

  Silvio Caruso was his role in Hitman, a named target rather than one of his many background soldiers. Mighty No. 9 credited him within the Mighty No. 5 Battalion, and Fortnite gave him Jonesy, though only within its Save the World mode. Enjuk appeared in Horizon Zero Dawn's Frozen Wilds expansion in 2017, and Guardian Tales cast him as Garam. By 2019 his additional, uncredited voice work had reached Days Gone, alongside credited additional voices in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that same year. The Callisto Protocol closed out his console work in 2022 with more additional voices.

  Every one of those console and PC roles kept him behind a character model. His filmography also includes stretches where audiences could see his face.

  Troy Pappas was his character in Hack, in an episode titled Bad Choices. In Jersey Girl he played Nurse number two, and The 24th Day gave him a role named Simon. Charlie was his part in Shopping in the Afterlife, a short film.

  How I Met Your Mother cast him as a Drunk Guy in the episode Single Stamina. He played Uni across three episodes of Crossing Jordan, and a Police Officer in Universal Signs. All My Children credited him as a Surgeon across two episodes. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno brought him on as various characters over four episodes. The Young and the Restless credited him as an Anesthesiologist for a single episode.

  That single-episode role in The Young and the Restless stands apart from the console booths and animation studios that filled most of his career.
