Sony Pictures officially announced the Sony's Spider-Man Universe in May 2017. This announcement defined the enterprise as a shared universe featuring Spider-Man villains, heroes, and antiheroes while deliberately keeping the web-slinger himself off-screen as a main character.
Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock / Venom in the Sony's Spider-Man Universe. Hardy confirmed in August 2018 that he had signed on to star in three Venom films, with the final installment titled Venom: The Last Dance released on the 25th of October 2024.
